Full Throttle Autoshow 2008 (Part 3)

Well, this is the final part of my post of the Full Throttle Autoshow. There was a small decorated car exhibition area at the side of the stadium alongside with the booths by MBI and JPJ.

Hello Kitty mania

Red Devil craze. Notice the MBI staff swatting flies there! hehe..

Not to be left out a CJ7 enthusiast also

I only lingered in this place for a short time only because I scared the deafening 180 decibel sound of the car woofer booths here will probably cracked my ear drum.

Hope that Ipoh will have more such happening event be it fashion show or gadget show.

Full Throttle Autoshow 2008 (Part 2) - Full Throttle Angels

An auto show will definitely be incomplete without sexy gals to entice the hot blooded males. So, lets get the balls rolling.

Looks tempting to see and touch? I mean the BMW, u pervert!

These sexy gals are ever ready to pose for u

These angels cheering the drift racers

A hot race queen on the race track

Look at the dangerous curves

Mmmm..I know some of u fantasizes on fishnet stockings.

There was a booth to promote 3D virtual racing with 3 lovely gals inside. No chance to try the game due to limited time.

Only managed to get some low quality zoomed images as they were too far inside

Are u looking at me?

Sweet angels

I am getting more attention than the car

Its time to wipe off your saliva guys. I will post the car decoration competition in the next posting..Till then..

Full Throttle Autoshow 2008 ( Part 1)

Last Sunday I went to the Stadium Indera Mulia for the first of its kind event in Ipoh, the Full Throttle Autoshow featuring drifting competition, exhibition of modified race cars and the sexy full throttle angels!

Some of you may have received this flyer

The ticket to this event costs RM15 and it was free for children below certain age (cant remember)

Let us begin the journey to the world of auto showdown! The entrance to the stadium are lined up by these super masterpieces.

The atmosphere in the stadium itself was quite surprising as there were not much cars to display. Instead, there were many booths selling car accessories like engine oil, performance tyres, bodykits etc.

See the overwhelming crowd

Ceh, who wants to touch?

The highlight was this modified car. I am a noob, dun ask me whats inside.

Nice cars

Superb engine oil can make ur car runs like a BMW?

I can smell the rubber stench

Those without money may dream and settle for the car models instead!

So, some of u may wonder where were is the drifting stuff btw..Its at the outside of the stadium, the empty space for parking lot there. Well, this was the 1st time I watch drifting albeit those over exaggerating one being shown at the movies such as Initial D and The Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift.

The scorching heat outside..being born tall has its advantages (see ppl's hair below)

The commentator's stage

Cars lining up preparing for the next race

This car apparently ran out of steam!

And I manage to record a few videos for u to enjoy as well.

Can u smell the burning tyres and hear the fierce engine roars?

Well, that's all for the time being. Some of u may wondered where is the sexy angels as mentioned above? Be patient.. Stay tuned for the next posting..

Finally we moved..

At last by the order of our hospital director, our main pharmacy has moved to another building to make way for our store which is overstuffed with stock.

We have to do the moving all by our staff. A hectic day indeed!

Our old main pharmacy..a colonial building

Managed to get some quick shots today while moving. Please bear with the photos quality as they were shot using my hp lousy 1MP camera.

We took over the MA's office.. should we say "conquer" ..

The entrance..an unwelcome mood?

Arranging them is an awful task!

When we will get our flat screens? :(

Tonnes of poisons to move!

The new galenical room

The new pantry room

Finally we got our own big room. Can fit in 5 ppl.. Who's the lucky 2 more to come?

Crysis Warhead (trailer)

Crysis Warhead is a stand-alone follow-up to last year's critically acclaimed Crysis

It's the first game to be developed by Crytek's Budapest studio, and it will be built on a new version of the German developer's graphically groundbreaking CryEngine 2.

Crysis Warhead puts players into the nanosuit of Sergeant "Psycho" Sykes, who deployed to a different side of the island than the original game's protagonist. Psycho apparently arrived on the island better equipped, given that he will have access to an expanded array of customizable weapons and vehicles.

Warhead is set to launch in North America on September 16, preceded by a European release on September 12. Cant wait for it to come!

Here is the trailer

CounterSpy 2.5

Here is the review of the antispyware that I am currently using. Its CounterSpy from Sunbelt Software. It has won a silver award at Top Ten Reviews site being second to only gold award winner Spy Sweeper. It is also far outclass Ad-Aware which I reviewed earlier

Well, it is simple to use. It is a good try for beginners who haven't use any antispyware product before. The default level already offers the best protection for most people. For those who simply likes to tweak, there is customization options available.

The software offers Active Protection which act as a shield that monitors suspicious activities in real time. There are 4 levels of protection to choose from i.e. Paranoid, Cautious, Trusting and Custom.

Select...

...to set...

Paranoid

Active Protection to the highest possible level where you will receive alerts for all known security risks.

Cautious

Active Protection to a moderate level where you will receive alerts for only serious and moderately serious known security risks.

Trusting

Active Protection to a low level where you will only receive alerts for the most serious security risks.

Well, I take the middle ground and choose Cautious.
With frequents updates, it boasts a high efficiency detection and removal rate.

Advantages of CounterSpy V2 ( from the company website )

  • Heavy-duty antispyware protection treads lightly on system resources.
  • Kernel-level Active Protection™ defends 24-7.
  • Hybrid design combines antimalware technology with our award-winning spyware detection and removal.
  • Deep-rooted malware is exterminated at boot time, before Windows loads.
  • Incremental definition updates greatly reduce update downloading time.
  • Over 750,000 Threat definitions!
  • Vista compatible: Integrates seamlessly with the Vista Windows Security Center.
Its light on resources even on older systems. On my PC, it uses only 40Mb of memory. It doesn't much affect PC performance and start up time.
There are 3 scan options i.e. Full, Quick and Custom
On my 1st full scan it took 97 minutes which is quite long but all the while I was surfing the internet and having some small downloads. Maybe my pc is full of junk btw.

The System Tools contains 4 features
  1. My PC Explorers-- monitors startup programs, running processes etc
  2. My PC Checkup-- suggest changes to improve security after a small scan
  3. History Cleaner-- for those who frequents porn sites hehe..
  4. Secure File Eraser-- files that erase are unrecoverable, a better option than burning ur hard drive
There is a 15-day free trial available here.
To those who find that it is useful and wish to upgrade to full version can purchase it for USD 19.95 or personally contact me for the link to *ahem* version

Download Accelerator Plus 8.6.7.1

The latest version of the ever popular Download Accelerator Plus (DAP) is available now. DAP has been around for many years and helps to accelerate the snail download speed since the dial-up internet days.

Increased download speeds are the program's bread and butter, speeding up downloads by almost 200 percent in most cases! (its true but depends on the server and location of the hosting site). Besides splitting files into smaller pieces, it automatically seeks faster mirrors. It also can get a file simultaneously from several sites, which is useful if a particular site limits the download speed.

During installation, Download Accelerator Plus will ask for your e-mail address in hopes of sending you special offers, but you don't actually need to submit any information. Just click next and ignore the special offers offered to u. Although the program is free, the trade-off is the "information panel" that displays software advertisements. Its not a nuisance btw. DAP also installs a handy toolbar in Internet Explorer and integrates with Firefox (which I think quite useful). In Firefox, when u click to download a file, it will pop up a window and asks you whether you want the download being handled by DAP or the default.

Other useful tools include the ability to resume interrupted downloads, log on to protected sites, and schedule downloads at low traffic times for faster downloading. The pay version allows you to resume all downloads, whether a server supports it or not.

Bottomline: No more watching the download bar painstakingly inching milimetres by milimetres.
